Greenfield Packaging Procurement Manager - Leading Global FMCG - Bristol - £55,000 - £60,000 + Package

One of the largest and most innovative FMCG companies in the world is looking to strengthen their rapidly growing procurement team by adding a Packaging Procurement Manager to their ranks!

The organization specializes in the Beauty / Cosmetics space and so are looking for packaging procurement specialists either with experience in this space or with a passion for cosmetics. They have had a remarkably strong couple of years as a business and due to this are about to launch a number of confidential new products that will require a broad range of packaging across Plastics, Metals and Cardboard to name a few.

The procurement function has transitioned from tactical to strategic over the last few years so despite the current strength of the function, there is a still a large Greenfield element to the role! This means that you will be designing and implementing brand new category strategy across Packaging Procurement and truly have the opportunity to put your stamp on the organization, whilst focusing not only on cost reduction, but also on Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing!

The organization have an excellent reputation for employee wellbeing and satisfaction, mainly down to the on-site healthcare centre, the flexible hours and their excellent track record for progression. Typically, an individual can expect to be promoted either vertically or diagonally within a year and a half, with the company preferring to promote internally than recruit at senior levels.

Greenfield Packaging Procurement Manager, Required Background: -

• Strong end to end experience managing packaging procurement, ideally having looked after a number of subcategories in this space. (The company are willing to look at a packaging senior buyer who is keen to make a step up into this role)
• Understanding of the recent changes to packaging regulations in the UK
• Ability to work at a fast-pace and manage senior stakeholders
• Exposure to a Beauty / Cosmetics environment is beneficial but not essential
• Degree + CIPS (beneficial but not essential)
