IT Procurement Manager / Buyer
Location - UK wide
Salary up to GBP40,000 + company car/car allowance + company benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional / Buyer in the Indirect Costs area to join the Procurement team here at ReddeNorthgate.
Role overview
To support the IT Category Manager in the procurement of IT, Telecoms and technology related goods and services , and further to procure a variety of "indirect" goods and services, across HR, Marketing , Finance as required.
The role will involve the tendering, negotiating and setting up supply agreements and managing supplier performance.
Key responsibilities and duties
To support the IT Procurement activity as well as leading on Indirect Procurement areas.
To review expenditure, identify cost reduction opportunities and deliver savings through the appropriate methodology: tendering, negotiation, supplier management, service enhancement, internal controls etc.
To run RFP/tender processes, analyse responses with stakeholders, submit costed proposals and transition suppliers
To develop category product and service expertise through market research and internal analysis, to optimise products and services utilised within the business.
Execute sourcing strategy in line with best practice and needs of the business.
To manage suppliers, set up reporting and KPIs and ensure that the service received matches or the requirements of our business
To find and implement ways to improve supplier service and reduce costs
To find and implement ways of evaluating cost improvements
To respond to branch and business needs by identifying the best supply/supplier options
To develop strong and effective internal relationships with all levels of the business to ensure that business requirements are reflected within contractual documentation.
Person spec
Essential
Educated to Degree level or equivalent employment experience
At least 3 years relevant Procurement experience.
Previous demonstrable experience in the Procurement of Indirect goods and services.
Driving licence and willingness to travel when required
Track record of savings achievement
IT skills and use of Excel, Powerpoint.
A proactive "can do" approach
Good team player, flexible and effective support to his/her colleagues
Effective persuasion and influencing skills
Effective negotiation skills
Desirable
MCIPS - or working towards
Working legal knowledge of supply contracts
