An excellent opportunity has arisen within this leading Coventry based manufacturing company for a Buyer to join its busy purchasing function.
THE ROLE - Buyer
Reporting into the Purchasing Manager, it will be the role of the Buyer to take full responsibility for the day to day purchasing of production materials. Other responsibilities include:
* Production Buying
* Supply Chain Consolodation
* Managing Suppliers
* Stock Management
* Expedting
* Cost Reduction Activities
THE CANDIDATE
In order to succeed in the role of Buyer, you will need experience of purchasing within a manufacturing, engineering or production envionment. You will need to have good negotiation skills and the ability to work on your own or as part of a team. Ideally you will have part CIPs, CIPS or the desire to complete CIPs in the future. Experience of purchasing from abroad would be beneficial.
