Wotton, Surrey (own transport is required due to the sites rural location)

Azenta now holds an exciting opportunity for an experienced Warehouse and Inventory Manager to join the site, located in Wotton nr Dorking.
The ideal candidate will come with minimum 5 years warehouse and inventory management experience, hold a demonstrable track record of leading and motivating a team and be experienced in developing and implementing process improvements.
Role Purpose
Responsible for ensuring the efficient management and control of the Warehouse Operation whilst achieving agreed budgetary and service levels. Provide an effective and reliable service to customers whilst meeting all legal requirements. Responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods and products to feed business operations and customer demand.
Responsibilities:
??Become the lead representative for the transition to the new Oracle MRP/ERP System
??Ensure an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfil operational and customer demand
??Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
??Plan, co-ordinate and monitor the receipt, storage and dispatch of goods
??Drive a zero-tolerance mindset for deviation from the use of quality processes to ensure customer deliverables are met fully
??Monitor all cycle count programs and ensure consistency and accuracy in same and identify all operational problems in inventory.
??Maintain records of all variances according to establish procedures and ensure accuracy of all product transfers from one facility / location to another.
??Monitor work of all inventory control personnel and ensure achievement of all objectives and provide improvements to same if required.
??Monitor and ensure accuracy of all inventory transactions and maintain records of all stockroom locations.
??Total responsibility for the Stock Take process
??Plan future capacity requirements
??Ensure inventories are accurate and control inventory levels by ensuring physical counts are conducted and reconciled with automated system utilising help of the warehouse team
??Ensure the relevance and accuracy of all documentation relating to goods in and goods out including labelling of all stock items
??Identify any systems improvements and drive through recommendations for change
??Ensure efficient and effective use of warehouse space to include layout and future capacity requirements
??Develop and maintain metrics/KPIs, reports, process documentation, customer service logs and training and safety records
??Create policies and procedures for warehouse activities and ensure all systems meet the standards for accreditation in line with the quality systems
??Continuously review ways to aid efficiency, add value and reduce costs as well as delivering continuous improvement initiatives
??Create and implement best practice warehousing principles, policies and processes
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in warehouse and Inventory management
?? Proven knowledge of warehouse policies and procedures
. Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement teams and activities, advantageous
. Understanding of Oracle (or similar) MRP based planning system is desirable
. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities for multiple projects.
