Our media buying team works closely with external clients: consulting, informing and guiding them to achieve appropriate and cost-effective solutions to their recruitment advising needs; they maximise referrals and new business leads generated by our software sales and account management teams; they constantly negotiate with job board and media partners across all types of advertising and search products.

With new technology in place offering performance-based solutions based on CPC/CPA media buying, we are looking for an experienced person who is able to incorporate this solution into their proposals, educating and advising clients on the benefits of the process, along with the ability to deliver effective campaigns using data to optimize, ensuring that clients projects are achieving the best ROI.

You'll use creative thinking and research to develop appropriate strategies to ensure that campaigns reach their target audiences as effectively as possible. You'll also apply a knowledge of media and communication platforms to identify the most appropriate mediums for building awareness of our client's brand.

Essential Responsibilities:

Strategic Skills:

  • Working with the clients and account teams to understand the client's business and objectives
  • Creating media strategies and supporting rationales, working with key stakeholders to present back to the client
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns, using the data to inform future proposals
  • Leading calls and meetings with clients and publishers discussing requirements and future strategies
  • Participate in all client meetings as required and contribute to the production of any presentations

Account Management Skills:

  • Building key relationships with clients and media partners
  • Understanding the markets and customer demographics, enabling better proposals
  • Negotiating with media partners and suppliers, always obtaining the best rates
  • Managing and optimising CPC/CPA programmatic media campaigns, ensuring budgets are spent to the maximum ROI

Operational Skills:

  • Overseeing the monitoring and optimisation of day-to-day performance of live campaigns.
  • Develop a general appreciation of Broadbean's multi-posting, job distribution and programmatic advertising technology
  • Setting up and maintaining media information database to log all contact with job boards and clients
  • Maintaining accurate buying records to ensure accurate billing of clients and generate purchase order via procurement system
  • Ensuring the clients' Broadbean account is kept up to date with new media purchases

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have Recruitment Advertising / Media Planning background
  • Experience of media buying and programmatic campaigns
  • Solid account management and client service skills
  • Ideally from a job board, programmatic platform or media agency background
  • Deep understanding of media planning and a genuine desire to work with clients
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Outstanding organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple buying requirements simultaneously yet at different stages of completion

  • Response time for of all client requests to be in line with communicated service level agreements
  • Ensuring campaigns are delivered to deadline and on budget
  • 100% accuracy
