Greenacre Recruitment are working with a social housing provider in the Hounslow area to source a Head of Contracts Management on a permanent basis.
Job Purpose
* To manage the planned, responsive repairs partnering contracts and ensure that the contractors deliver an efficient repairs and maintenance service which is customer focused, cost effective and delivers value for money while ensuring statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
* To ensure that repairs and maintenance contractors comply with policies on health and safety, equal opportunity and risk management strategies.
Education/Qualification
* Relevant professional qualification - degree level or chartered status in relevant discipline covering building or construction e.g. MRICS; MCIOB or equivalent
Knowledge and skills required
* Knowledge and understanding of the social housing environment and associated regulatory, statutory and legislative requirements in relation to building compliance.
* Knowledge of good practice in all areas of contract management.
* Knowledge of contract law.
* Knowledge of procurement regulations and options available for efficient procurement
* Knowledge of framework management procedures.
* Understanding of the commercial drivers of the supply chain
* Ability to interpret data to provide trend analysis.
* Excellent verbal, written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills
* Ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and audiences.
* Highly numerate and IT literate
* Knowledge of Project Management is desirable
Experience required
* Significant experience of successful contract and project management within a housing or construction organisation.
* Proven experience of managing a variety of frameworks, diverse range of contracts and contract forms, delivering multi-disciplinary repairs to housing and other building types
* Proven experience of maintaining accurate records and project performance reporting
* Demonstrable experience of cost management and benchmarking
* Evidence of working closely with supply chains to optimise performance
* Experience of planned maintenance and/or major repairs
