Senior Commercial Manager

The Role...

This role is responsible for leading the delivery of the strategy for everything relating to UKI Betfair Football and Sports customers (all non-racing). This senior manager role will play a vital part in owning the business performance of the Football and Sports P&L. The role will focus on execution of the strategy to ensure Football and Sports targets are met across both Exchange and Sportsbook. The role reports to the Head of Football and Sports as part of the UKI Commercial team.

What You'll Be Doing...

Strategy execution: you will support the Head of Football and Sports to deliver the strategy and work very closely with teams across the business on the execution. You will lead on the delivery of Football and Sports RTBs that align to the key strategic pillars
Football and Sports Customer: You will live and breathe every customer touch point and interaction of the Football and Sports customer experience. You will immerse yourself in the data across all areas of the business to grow Football and Sports NGR. Knowing the what and the why to the Football and Sports performance.
Performance: Work closely with the Analytics Manager to prioritise key areas of performance and insight that inform the Head of as to how Betfair Football and Sports is trending. Ideate and execute opportunities and levers to action any analysis to course correct or seize momentum.
Cross Functional Working: a key part of the new Betfair ways of working is the establishment of squads and tribes. This role will lead working groups that come from the football and sports squad but also be expected to step up to lead the squad in the Heads absence requiring cross functional leadership skills alongside planning and collaboration.
Collaboration across Betfair UKI: work closely with the other Managers in the Sport division and all other Betfair teams (particularly gaming and brand) to deliver against Betfair UKI goals and ensure alignment.
Planning: Ensure key periods of time and product launches are planned for in line with all teams planning cycles to ensure exceptional delivery working closely with the Head of Planning
Relentless pursuit: the UK&I business is at a stage where growth is in our sights. As such the entire Betfair team need to pursue any opportunity for improvement and growth with all central teams.

What We're Looking For...

Track record of commercial experience
Evidence of extensive experience in a B2C environment within a functional area
Hunger and desire to be involved in a Fight Back Strategy
Understanding of the Exchange business model
A working understanding of commercial performance and what levers within the business can be used to influence that performance
Experience in working with a very wide variety of stakeholders across a complex / matrix organisation
Ability to clearly communicate relevant updates to senior management
