A Global Social Media Company based in London is seeking a Procurement Manager to join their team on a contract basis for 12 months.
Responsibilities include:
Working with the department's Lead Procurement Manager to manage fulfillment of proof-of-concepts/prototypes associated with Portal for Work products
Act as a liaison between suppliers and Meta teams: managing, monitoring and driving suppliers to assure goals/schedule are being met
Support advanced sourcing activities, from supplier engagement, onboarding, to negotiating schedule and support
Drive material readiness and visibility to meet target project schedules
Work with Logistics to support and resolve domestic and international shipping challenges
Support collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders distributed around the world, facilitate decisions and gain support from cross-functional teams
Ensure the Portal for Work team has the supplies and equipment for development, production and deployment. Assist with POs for samples, NRE, equipment and services
Support the preparation of sourcing documents, NDAs, contracts, statements of work, sample and NRE PO intake
Support the development of supply chain improvement initiatives
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain or equivalent industry experience.
3+ years of supply chain/materials experience. Understanding of hardware development in an NPI environment
Problem solver, able to use varying approaches to support NPI, small quantity material fulfillment in uncertain supply/demand circumstances
Knowledge of EMS/ODM/JDM/OEM business models, consignment & turnkey materials management
Experience with the bid/quote management and associated purchasing flows.
Able to influence and gain support from cross functional groups to quickly execute to objectives
Negotiate terms with suppliers to optimize cost, schedule, volume and other commercial terms, for both goods and services
Familiar with procuring goods and services for both domestic and international markets.
Experience with international shipping
Experience working with and managing technology suppliers
Desirable
Experience and knowledge with hardware design and development methodologies
Experience working with Asia based suppliers
Experience with manufacturing environments, including quality checks and audits
Experience with supply chain design and reverse logistics
Ability to facilitate procurement processes and incorporate best practices with cross-functional teams
