The role:

• The successful Buyer Non-Food will manage a category and is integral in delivering a customer focused range whilst driving profitability
• As Buyer Non-Food you will source the most effective new and existing products that meet customers needs and deliver KPIs
• Working cross functionally with category, technical, pricing, supply chain etc you will ensure your range meets all quality and service levels,
• Ensuring all products are sourced responsibly you will manage your supply base, negotiate terms, develop joint business plans and deliver profitability, product and service levels.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders you will develop the strategic plan for your category that will deliver long term growth

Ideal candidate:

• You will currently be working as a non-food buyer wither within food retail or food wholesale within the UK
• It is essential that you can demonstrate a passion for trading and a flair for commerciality along with fantastic negotiation skills
• Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with stakeholders.
• As Buyer Non-Food you have excellent resilience skills and will evidence an accountability for results and taking decisions
• You will have excellent planning and organization skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, a self-starter with can-do attitude
