We are recruiting for an IT Procurement Partner to join a Financial Services organisation located in either Central London or central Bristol.

The IT Procurement Team is part of Business Systems (IT) and works closely with Supplier Owners to maximise opportunities and deliver value through 3rd party relationships & contracts. It is a driver for innovation, creativity, continuous improvement and aspires to be a best in class and high performing team.

This position is a great opportunity for the right person to be part of an exciting IT Procurement Team that is at the forefront of maximising value from 3rd party relationships. This position will report into the IT Procurement Manager and is a highly accountable role focusing on working with Supplier Owners on vendor relationships, contract and supplier performance of key suppliers.

This position will be working closely with the IT team and supplier owners and will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with Supplier Owner to deliver the Supplier Management agenda
  • Responsible for driving continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, service performance quality and costs through in-life contract management.
  • Conducting vendor/market intelligence gathering activities
  • Identify, manage and minimise/mitigate supplier and contractual risk through in-life contract management activities.
  • Develop a deep understanding of supplier IT roadmaps

You will need extensive experience of the following criteria:

  • Experienced in IT Procurement or IT Vendor Manager roles with extensive experience in managing IT suppliers, contract administration and supplier contract negotiation.
  • Experienced in managing high profile projects
  • You'll have an excellent understanding of different commercial models used in IT Procurement contracts.
  • Negotiating XaaS and general technology contracts with awareness of key risks and terms.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, organisational and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT Procurement or IT Vendor Manager roles.
  • Experience of managing Tier 1 IT suppliers.
  • Demonstrable experience of implementing Vendor Management processes.
  • Working in a matrix management environment.
  • ITIL or CIPS qualification or working towards this (desirable).
