This global engineering services and engineering products-based business is seeking an Onsite Supply Chain Co-ordinator. Working on-site within the Stores department of this manufacturer, you will be responsible for ordering various engineering components and parts that go onto a production line including but limited to pumps, valves and lubrications. Duties will include: -
* Processing and monitoring customers' orders from initial enquiry through to delivery
* Checking stock availability in the on-site stores and with suppliers
* Expediting orders to the engineers
* Sourcing products via the selected suppliers that are UK based and overseas
* Checking pricing and updating customers on prices including additional tax and excise charges
* Dealing with customer quotations via telephone, the trade counter and email
* Manage the whole sales and purchase order process from start to finish
* Dealing with incoming calls and queries
* Contribute to operational effectiveness and planning through the provision of information, feedback, and data to branch management in support of customer requirements and Key Performance Indicators
* You are responsible for your health and safety and have a duty of care for others around you within your working environment
* Contribute to branch operational efficiency by identifying potential improvements to customer processes
* Ensure a high level of Customer Service
* Products may include Pumps, valves, connectors, and anything a production line with need.
To apply you must have: -
* Similar experience within either sales order processing, expediting, production planning, supply chain, stock control or purchase order processing experience
* Proficient user of MS Office
* Experience of using a fully integrated sales order processing and stock management CRM system would be ideal
* Excellent customer services skills
* Good negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and customers
* Good knowledge of engineering maintenance, repair or operational product and service experience would be ideal (but not essential)
* Ideally you will be available to start work as soon as possible
