* This role has been created within a growing engineering business that is involved with the design and distribution of innovative thermally protective solutions for high value, temperature sensitive pharmaceutical products.
* The position is aligned to managing supplier issues, product defects, auditing and implementing corrective actions across all UK and EU supply chain.
Role: Supplier Quality Engineer
* As a supplier quality engineer you will review Supplier performance and manage targets accordingly; acting as the point of contact for all Supplier Quality issues
* Review supplier PPAP, APQP process or NPI readiness and manage Supplier containment and corrective actions
* Perform Audits for EMS, QA and HSE systems and follow up with actions, both internal and supplier
* Include a supplier recharge system to recover costs and support a supplier rejection system/process or improve any existing ones
* Your involvement will be instrumental in reducing the amount of customer complaints stemming from supplier quality issues.
Skills / Knowledge: Process Quality Engineer
* High level degree or similar in an engineering or manufacturing discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Composites, Quality etc.)
* Excellent knowledge of supplier quality; dealing with supplier issues, corrective actions and audits
* Strong passion for processes and quality engineering and ensuring suppliers adhere to business, quality and industry processes
* Proven ability of liaison across multiple suppliers to implement processes or procedures coupled with excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong experience in MS office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint for creating and presenting reports
* Good knowledge of PPAP, APQP and NPI coupled with ISO9001 for supplier auditing
* Excellent written skills coupled with a strong desire to achieve best practice
You will be working with and visiting suppliers across the UK however there are a few across the EU so you will need to be free to travel on occasion.
This supplier quality engineer is based near Thame, Oxfordshire and is commutable from Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Oxford and Bicester but will be open to engineers relocating to the area
