The Role:
This position is responsible for developing product category plans that will result in increased sales, market share and/or profitability.
The focus is on our client Medical portfolio that has Approx. 9000 products in total.
Responsibilities include category analysis, category maintenance and new product launches, supplier profitability and contribution.
Responsible for supplier distribution agreement negotiations, new item review and set-up.
Develop and/or review/approved recommendations and product analysis for Senior Management team.
Must be the Product Category Expert within the European Medical Group and provide local support for the UK Medical Sales and Marketing organization.
Home based role. Will need to travel to the office once a month and European travel once a quarter.
GBP43k basic salary + 10% annual bonus based on objectives, Travel Expenses, 25 days holiday a year, with ability to buy up to 5 days holiday each year, Life Insurance, Cycle to Work scheme, Subsidised gym membership, Access to Health & Wellbeing Apps, Employee discounts & hybrid, flexible working culture (40 hours a week).
The Ideal Person:
Minimum 2 years' experience in Category/Product Management and/or procurement.
Medical Devices ideally.
Strong understanding of the NHS.
Brand new role to the business so flexibility in working and an understanding this is a genuine opportunity to create something that has never been done in the UK for this business.
