Procurement Buyer

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement Buyer will work as key part of the Procurement Team and in collaboration with colleagues across Jet2.com and Jet2holidays to help shape sub-category strategy and lead / support the associated tender and negotiation processes for the business.

You will lead on the development of designated category strategies to help promote Jet2.com and Jet2holidays' commercial position with relevant suppliers and to build relationships and leverage those relationships to drive improved service and cost reduction for the business. You will be responsible for the delivery of all commercial and contractual agreements in your assigned business areas, as directed by the Procurement management team, providing the first point of escalation for category and supplier performance issues for colleagues across Jet.com and Jet2holidays. You will own and deliver annual savings targets for specific categories as agreed with the Procurement Manager while acting as a role model for non-procurement colleagues and to support delivery of a seamless end to end procurement service.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level and have an in depth knowledge of Procurement, able to demonstrate experience of using innovative approaches to procuring services and managing relationships with suppliers. You will be an excellent communicator and highly effective negotiator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. An MCIPS qualification would be desirable.
