Assistant Transport Manager

Our Client is a leading Importer and Supplier of Fresh Produce to a wide portfolio of customers. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an Assistant Transport Manager on their behalf to join the business in this key position.

Reporting to the Transport Manager. The Assistant Transport Manager will be responsible for assisting with managing and improving the efficiency of inbound logistics, providing accurate and timely information for other areas of the business to enable them to make time critical commercial and operational decisions.

Within this role, the Assistant Transport Manager will also be responsible for assisting with the management of haulier supplier relations, constantly striving to improve the efficiency of the inbound logistics from overseas.

We require;

Previous transport / freight management experience

Exposure to FMCG / Fresh Produce / Food sectors highly advantageous

Experience of working effectively and positively within a team

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, achieving targets

Ability to use a ERP system

Location; Kent

Hours; Monday - Friday

Salary; up to GBP40k
