A global retailer who is a household name is looking for an Ethical Trade Exective to join their growing team. They operate as 'one team' with the rest of the business.


Key Responsibilities:
Data and Programme Management

  • Oversees and the supports the administrative activities involved in the day to day running of the organisations Ethical Trade Programme from an ET perspective
  • Communicates with the organsations B&M, Sourcing, Suppliers and Factories, as well as ET Field Teams and ABF Legal, on matters relating to ET Compliance, data and analysis
  • Provide timely information and documentation concerning labour standards and ethical trade according to process, including matters concerning compliance to their Code of Conduct as requested by Senior Trade Executive and Ethical controller
  • Ensures latest information, on supplier and their sites status in terms of Ethical Trade Programme are communicated appropriately within their HQ and ET Field Teams.
  • Lead on maintaining the team workplan ensuring that other team members are aware of their individual targets and feel supported in achieving them


Ratings of Audit Reports:

  • Under the supervision of the Senior Ethical Trade Executives conduct reviews of audit reports to provide a consistent rating in accordance with the organsations tating matrix and agreed best practice
  • Ensures that all ratings communications to internal and external stakeholders are accurately produced and clear


Issues Management:

  • Identify issues concerning compliance with their Code of Conduct from an ET perspective this is related to but not exclusive to unauthorised subcontracting management
  • Manage issues, escalate as appropriate
  • Report and communicate on issues effectively and appropriately with an assured level of accuracy
  • Seek ways to review team processes


Database team Liaison:

  • Day-to-day liaison with the Database Team to facilitate:
  • Timely and accurate input and recording of audit results and visits to sites
  • Up-to-date understanding within the Database Team of development and changes to requirements in matters concerning labour standards and ethical trade



Reporting:

  • Support the global Ethical Trade team by interrogating Entropy and providing reports as per requirements
  • Support Directors of Sourcing and Ethical Trade by providing reporting as required
  • Support the Ethical Trade Controller with timely and accurate information as requested
  • Develop analysis of data that facilitates the running of the Ethical Trade Programme.


Knowledge and Experience:

  • Experience in CR and Ehical Trade
  • Factory audit and remediation processes
  • Excellent organisation/communication skills
  • A self-starter who is results driven in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to build excellent relationships with key stakeholders & across the business
  • Lead in database systems and associated reporting and other IT tools
  • High level of competency and accuracy in data management and analysis
  • Ability to get to know and work with the complexity of suppliers, factories and buying departments
