This rapidly growing international pharmaceutical company is building its global procurement organization and recruiting experienced strategic buyers to join their teams in the US and Italy.
As the business continues to grow, significant capex investment is being planned for 2022 and therefore there is a need for an experienced buyer to join the team to support the global stakeholders on procurement activity related to technical goods & Services like Capex, MRO and Facilities.
You will be part of an international procurement team, supporting on tendering, negotiations and supplier management for the business operations in Italy, UK, US and some other international location. You will therefore require great communication skills in English and Italian to manage a very multi-cultural stakeholder base.
This is an exciting opportunity for a procurement professional at the start of their career looking to be part of a dynamic global team. You will be taking on a challenging role as Strategic Buyer with several long-term development options within the global procurement department.
Key skills and experienced required to be successful in the Strategic Buyer position:-
- Industry experience from a technical production environment such as Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas, or Chemical would be preferred
- Indirect category experience of industrial services like Capex, MRO, and facilities would be highly desirable
- Working knowledge of eProcurement and eTendering systems to support internal stakeholders in following procurement processes and increasing the volume of spend being managing through eProcurement whilst reducing rogue purchasing
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in Italian and English to work with a global stakeholder base
- Highly commercial mindset and able to manage tough supplier negotiations to ensure best value is always achieved
- Degree educated to at least BSc level; preferably in a technical qualification like engineering
