The Distribution Manager will be a member of the Senior Management Team with the primary responsibility of ensuring organisational effectiveness by providing leadership for the fulfilment and distribution functions.
Main Responsibilities:
• Direct and manage all employees with their area to ensure that they are appropriately motivated and trained and carry their responsibilities to the required standard.
• Contribute to the development of the company's corporate strategy and lead strategy development in the fulfilment areas of Production and Distribution to ensure that the company achieves its short and long-term objectives.
• Develop and implement all necessary policies and procedures to ensure that the Fulfilment and Distribution functions achieve their business objectives.
• Develop and control the budget for the Fulfilment Operations
• Direct and control the Fulfilment Production function to ensure that finished goods of the required standard are available to the customer within agreed costs and at the right times.
• Direct and manage the Warehousing and Distribution functions of the Fulfilment area to ensure that customers are supplied with the right quantities of goods at the right times.
• Act as the company's main adviser in this area of expertise on all issues relating operational functions and keep abreast of latest developments to ensure that the Company maintains its competitive position.
• Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls within production and distribution.
• To work with finance in the development of departmental budgets
• Oversee weekly, monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of manufacturing areas financial performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
• To manage a 3rd party warehouse supplier for stock management and logistics in delivering this contract.
Skills & Experience:
• Extensive experience in manufacturing and logistics management along with demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
• Significant experience of the quality control of manufacturing industry
• Excellent computer skills and proficient in excel, word, outlook, and access.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
• Key requirement is attention to detail in delivering a time sensitive product in a timed manor.
• A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace
