Buyer - FMCG
THE ROLE:
Due to strong and continued growth, my client requires an enthusiastic and capable Category Buyer ideally with FMCG or similar experience to join their team.
YOU WILL:
In this challenging and commercially focussed role you will:
- Take ownership of product categories and manage key dynamics to achieve performance and revenue targets.
- Work closely with marketing to ensure effective merchandising of your products.
- Develop and enhance relationships with suppliers to ensure supplier KPIs are met.
- Maintain an understanding of products, market trends and competitor activity to optimise current and future sales opportunities.
- Develop new product opportunities and deliver to market.
- Maintain product data and information and undertake required administrative processes.
YOU:
To apply for this role you should have:
- Appropriate buying / purchasing / category management / sourcing / merchandising experience, ideally in FMCG or closely related.
- Enthusiasm, capability and confidence to work autonomously as required.
- Excellent communication skills internally and externally including supplier relationships.
- Ability to generate and develop new ideas and opportunities.
- Good Excel skills, able to analyse and present data with high attention to detail.
- Commercial acumen and 'gut-feel' for market and product trends, quick and effective response.
- Able to manage your own workload to meet commercial performance expectations.
