The Role - Buyer - Indirect and CapEx
Reporting to the Category Sourcing Lead, as a Buyer you will be responsible for the development and execution of both direct and indirect spend strategies as designated, that drive quality, cost, and delivery performance from suppliers.
You'll build relationships with customers and suppliers as you operate across the full service / sourcing life cycle, ensuring that progress is reported. You'll manage the sourcing of goods and services, including raising / managing purchase documents within the ERP / procurement systems, and draft and agree contracts with indirect suppliers.
You'll manage the sourcing of CapEx requirements including full cradle to grave tender activities and stakeholder / budget communications and support departmental engagement via project / budget reviews that reduce the number of suppliers where appropriate. You'll also lead supplier relationships, including full sourcing and on-boarding of new suppliers.
Our Requirements -Buyer
* Proven Indirect and CapEx procurement experience, ideally gained within a manufacturing environment with experience in contract / category strategy writing and supplier negotiation
* Experience with change management, working with supply partners and outsourcing
* Superb commercial acumen, with a global outlook and solutions-focused approach
* Ability to write and present business cases
* Excellent communication skills
* CIPS qualification, or willing to work towards
The Package
As a Buyer, you will benefit from an attractive salary with the level dependent on experience and qualifications, along with an excellent benefits package, which includes:
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
* Company pension scheme

* Early finish on Fridays
You'll work from our office in Runcorn and be employed on a permanent contract, working Monday to Thursday 8am to 4:30pm, and Friday 8am to 1pm.
