Senior Buyer

This specialist manufacturer of bespoke equipment for use in chemical industries are now looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team in Runcorn.

Within the role of Senior Buyer, key responsibilities will be: -

Negotiate supply contracts, ensuring delivery of purchased materials, manufacturing and services.
Play a key role in developing and implementing procurement strategy, identifying longer-term opportunities and business risks.
Play a active role in procurement process improvements.
Support the Procurement Manager to identify and deliver procurement cost reduction initiatives.
Lead the project manufacturing cost review process.
Track purchasing costs throughout the life of each project.The successful candidate will: -

Have purchasing experience gained within a manufacturing/engineering environment.
Be highly numerate with good communication skills.
Have excellent negotiation skills.
On offer: -

Salary circa GBP45,000
Pension scheme - 11% Employer Contribution
Company Bonus up to 15%
