External Joinery Buyer

The Role

Scotframe are looking to appoint an External Joinery Buyer to join their busy team in Inverurie. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for all aspects of placing Purchase Orders for External Joinery against client requirements, ensuring budgeted margin is maintained and improved. This is a 'hands-on' role dealing directly with vendors and clients, concentrating on critical suppliers in accordance with company quality processes and procedures.

You'll be working for Scotframe Timber Engineering. Scotframe Timber Engineering is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and have been helping homeowners achieve their dreams for 30 years supplying timber frame kits for over 30,000 homes.

There is some specific experience, skills and knowledge we are looking for from the suitable candidate:

Excellent IT skills
The ability to analyse data with a strong eye for detail
The ability to manage relationships both internally across departments, and externally in the supply chain
Disciplined and organised with the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure in a fast-paced work environment
Purchasing experience would be advantageous however we are open to people new to the profession if you can demonstrate the skills above and an interest in pursuing a career in this field
Experience working with CAD or technical drawings would be a huge benefit but not essentialWhat will be doing in this role?

Procure and purchase External Joinery within budget - working from drawings to establish what External Joinery is required for any particular project
Raising purchase orders and managing the background administration
Communicate and organise External Joinery requirements with supply chain/in-house project team and end client
Have a good product knowledge
