Freight Forwarder

My Client an international Freight services are recruiting an experienced Senior Freight forwarder to join their ever growing team in Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity as Senior Operations Coordinators within the Newcastle branch to progress into a management position whilst working with both imports and exports.

The ideal candidate should have at least 3+ years experience within a similar role, you should be enthusiastic and eager to learn. Ocean Freight experience is essential.

As an Senior Operations Coordinator you will

• Providing clients with excellent levels of customer service ensuring that they have a positive experience each and every time they contact us.
• You will be responsible for your own client base
• Training new staff on operational systems and customs processes
• Completing shipments from start to finish, including quotations.
• You will be focused on understanding the customers needs and providing answers to queries in a professional and positive manner
• responsible for coordinating and processing all import/export types and modes of transport, in line with client directives, HMRC rules and PFS standard operating procedures.
• Be aware of the customs process in regard to entries and declarations
• You will provide competitive quotations to customers and overseas offices, ensuring intelligent buying is always sought.

Key Qualities:

• 3+ years experience within the industry
• Ocean Freight Experience Essential
• Freight Experience
• Imports or Exports experience
