Assistant Buyer - Apparel / Accessories

The business is recruiting 3x Assistant Buyers within their Buying team to work closely to support the Buyer and wider team to ensure that sales, stock and margin targets are achieved. You will have bundles of passion and energy to successfully drive and contribute to our ranges.

Client Details

A multi-channel retailer in the Altrincham area. Starting out as a sports kit business they have expanded over the last 40 years into both ladies and men's, more so recently into Homeware. The business are known for their friendly office culture and internal promotion opportunities.

Description

• Liaise with suppliers as well as Buying, Merchandising and Quality Control teams.
• Engage with the Creative and Ecommerce team to ensure productive relationships.
• Assist the Buyer to adapt styles relevant to your area.
• Lead critical path meetings within the team, including presenting to the Buyer and Buying Manager.
• Assist the Buyer with product development and price negotiation.
• Develop a range with the Buyer to attract our target customer, ensuring the best price and quality.
• Analysis of sales and performance, to enable trade reactions to be implemented where required.
• All day-to-day administration required to assist the Buyer and ensure the efficient buying of product.

Profile

• Have 1 - 2 years' experience at Assistant Buyer level.
• Experience of either Footwear/Accessories, Menswear or Ladieswear.
• Natural ability to identify future fashion trends and a real passion for product.
• Have an in-depth knowledge of the current market.
