Assistant Buyer - Branded Fashion

As an Assistant Buyer you will play a vital role within my clients Retail and Wholesale Buying team. You will provide essential support to the department, ensuring that our brands stay ahead of the game.

Client Details

A leading retailer in the Leeds. The business has been around for over 80 years and have a multi-channel offering. They are also known for their internal progression.

Description

Duties will include; Ordering sample lengths and trim and keeping accurate details.

Expediting all components to sampling critical path dates.

Raising orders for all samples entering the department, ticketing and transferring out when required.

Creating new brand manuals where appropriate. Produce accurate design sheets / diagrams and sketches of garments and styling features.

Profile

• Knowledge of relevant garment / products / fabrics and constructions
• Currently a Buying Admin Assistant, Buying Assistant, Assistant Buyer or simialr
• Presentation skills - visual, verbal and written
• You will have good IT skills within Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and especially within CAD packages.
• Organisational skills - the ability to manage the critical path from product development to delivery / in store sales
• Team player - ability to manage working relationships at all levels
• Numerate - working with margin calculations and budgets
• Negotiation skills - ability to work with suppliers to agree the best price for a product while maintaining quality requirements
