Engineering Buyer

Copello have partnered with a defence business based in Poole, in the recruitment of an Engineering Buyer. This role will be responsible for the purchasing activities and procurements of goods and services in line with the Company's quality, cost and delivery targets and expectations.

You will be responsible for:

- Obtaining quotations and purchasing goods to the correct specs
- Checking order acknowledgements against purchase orders, highlighting any issues
- Liaising with suppliers to establish a reliable source, ensuring value for money as well as safeguarding the business from late deliveries or poor quality of goods and services
- Resolving any disputes or problems that arise in a timely manner in accordance with procedures
- Placing orders and registering all transactions in the credit card database
- Monitoring and purchasing minimum stock requirements
- Arranging meetings with suppliers to discuss purchasing agreements or issues

Ideal candidates will have:

* The ability to, and experience of reading engineering drawings
* Experience within a Defence and/or Engineering business
* Computer literacy, including Word, Excel, Windows, etc
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Current, valid UK driving licence

The company offers a competitive salary of GBP23,000-GBP27,000 (DoE) plus fantastic learning and development opportunities. The role is based out of Poole, Dorset and is commutable from Bournemouth, Weymouth, Salisbury, Southampton.
