As part of the Operational Supply Chain team, you will assist in the ensuring delivery of a sustainable supply chain to support the wider NSS business. You will work to protect the commercial and financial interests of the company ensuring compliance to the NGUKL published processes and procedures. Working with the other teams you will identify areas where we can optimise spend and collaboration with 3rd parties as well as developing ways of working through continuous improvement exercises. As part of the Operational team you will provide support to the programmes team for supply chain document management such as PO maintenance and management, performance reporting (OTIF, on time payment etc).

Key Responsibilities

Acting as a key liaison between the business and the supplier to ensure that goods and services are procured appropriately.
Support the identification of suitable alternative sources of supply, where appropriate, to meet business demand.
Support positive and mutually-beneficial relationships with suppliers and sub-contractors
Support pre-qualification and tender documentation to meet business needs ensuring that work is carried out within NG's standard terms as far as possible.

Skill requirements

Understanding of how supply chain operates within an organisation
Capable of identifying issues and developing solutions with a wider team
Purchase order drafting experience
Organised, adept at workload management and prioritising appropriately to meet deadlines
Proactive team worker, equally self-motivated and able to work autonomously
Good interpersonal skills, able to engage effectively with all audiences/stakeholders
Proficient user of MS office
Competent in PowerPoint and face-to-face presentation delivery
Strong customer focus
Engaging 'can do' attitude
Clearance requirements: Post-holder must hold and maintain UK Government clearances where required
