Anderson Knight is working with a well established brand who is seeking to continue its growth across its Renewables division and seek to recruit the position of Category Manager.
Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, the key duties and responsibilities include:
* Responsible for the execution of a category management approach to the procurement of a specified portfolio of spend to ensure compliance, drive efficiencies, mitigate supply risks and drive down the total cost of ownership to the organisation
* Responsible for conducting internal and external analyses and engaging effectively with stakeholders to determine optimum sourcing strategies
* Project manage others to provide a range of sourcing activities in support of category plans and in accordance with all policies and procedures
* Provide updates on category performance and provide additional insight through reporting and commentary as required
* Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance, interface with the business to understand demand for and the impact of sourcing activities and foster relationships with Legal to build robust and agile contracts
The key skills & experience required for this post will include:
* Proven track record in executing complex procurement activities
* Experience of IT procurement
* Broad knowledge of contract management
* Ability to interface with Legal teams
* Experience of working with Cloud contracts
* Ability to execute category plans and oversee implementation
* Excellent Time Management skills
