The Client is looking for a keen Individual that is willing to learn and throwing themselves into the procurement function of the business. Taking and managing category's such as Waste management, 'PPE' and 'Saftey'management'. To help strategically manage the spend on these category's and manage the process.

The Client is an international Infrastructure business that operates in a handful of countries worldwide. The business wants to help communities and trigger economic growth. Finally The business has constantly grown since it was founded in the early 1990's, constantly operating complex, huge scale projects including being in joint venture with HS2, that is adding value and growth within Society.

Description

  • Manage and support the team, confident in managing.
  • Implement category plan's in line with the business strategy and the key stakeholders, considering the company sustainability goals.
  • Develop strong relationship's with Stakeholders and being a key decision maker and ensuring appropriate engagement happens.
  • Negotiate agreements with clients
  • Understand the excisting category spends to ensure the business is utilising spend the best they can.
  • Develop, implement, communicate and monitor supplier network.
  • Deliver clear communications with other team members, interacting with category leader and Head of procurement.

Profile

The following qualities/experience are essential:

  • Articulate around senior management.
  • Is confident engaging with stakeholders and making key decisions
  • Good listener who can be influential and able to focus on issues critical to senior leaders. Can deliver communication and steer conversation towards decisions.
  • Experience within procurement in particular sourcing (PQQ, RFI, RFP).
  • CIPS qualified, studying towards or equivalent studies.
  • High level of professionalism and wants to make a change.
  • Team player who has a positive attitude.

Job Offer

This Senior buyer role is a great opportunity for someone to come in a join a international business where they can develop and progress within their business. The role is based just outside of Birmingham and will be a Hybrid working work situation. The role will 40/60 office/work rota.

The position is offering up to GBP60,000 + benefits and car allowance.
