Buyer
An opportunity to join a leading provider of foodservice solutions who have over 50,000 products that supply all areas of the foodservice industry. These include restaurants, hotels, bars, hospitals, care homes, businesses, stadia and education facilities such as schools, colleges and universities.
Working within the commercial division, the Buyer will be responsible for maximising the long-term profitability of a specified category of products, whilst achieving budgeted income & team targets. Furthermore, you'll ensure the business remains highly competitive in establishing successful supplier partnerships.
They require a high calibre individual who is hard working, commercially astute and multi-skilled with the energy and drive to ensure purchasing strategies are well negotiated and implemented.
You will be managing supplier relationships and maximising the long term profitability of specified categories whilst achieving your short & long term budgeted targets. You will be a 'hands-on' self-starter and must have excellent proven influencing and negotiating skills in managing product costs and income generation as well as the ability to develop, manage and implement category plans.
You must be able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and above all be able to multi task in a timely and efficient manner. You will also be required to demonstrate an aptitude for financial acumen in managing your budgets.
Purchasing experience is essential, preferably within the Foodservice/ Wholesale sector. A full driving licence & the willingness to travel will also help you in the role. This will be a 50/50 split working from home and office/field based.
On offer is a basic salary between GBP45 - 55,000, car allowance, 25 days holiday, pension, healthcare, plus benefits
