MLC Partners are working with a Healthcare organisation who are looking to recruit a Senior Category Manager until the end of March 2022.

Role Summary:

* Work directly with the Category Lead to develop and execute product specific category strategies, using category, market and supplier intelligence and experience to shape a category plan, that uses the full range of supply-side, demand-side, make, buy and innovate levers.

* Provide input to the leaders within the department to inform and shape to support the development of strategy and policies.

* Lead and deliver fully compliant strategic procurement and contracting deals, acting as negotiator and influencer to drive them to completion.

* Keep abreast and familiar with any changes to the Public Contracts Regulations (2015), post Brexit and apply new procurement regulations and procedures to ensure full compliance with UK Law.

* Leverage examples of national and international best practice to ensure that customers benefit from relevant innovations.

* Liaise with the teams across the PPE function and the wider organisation to implement innovation infrastructure and capacity within the organisation to achieve the category-specific objectives and targets.

* Develop and champion new products, initiatives or projects as necessary, and be flexible to rapidly absorb new scope and demand requirements.

* Provide expertise of best practice category management methodologies, regulatory requirements, policy imperatives, innovation and technological developments.

* Understand and apply a range of commercial and contracting models, with a focus on the Whole Life Cost to the organisation

* Manage and support other category managers (where relevant and appropriate under the specific role accountabilities)

Previous experience as a Senior Category Manager is essential and you should be able to liaise and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

This role is inside IR35, paid via an Umbrella company and will primarily be home based, with occasional travel
