Category Manager- FM Services | Greenfield Opportunity, London/ Hybrid Working

£65,000-£75,000 per annum + £6000 car allowance + 15%- 30% bonus, double matched pension, 25 days holiday (plus can buy additional 5 + private healthcare

Overview:

Talent Drive are delighted to be partnering with one of the largest commercial property development and investment company in the UK as they embark on an exciting Procurement Transformation journey and look to appoint a brand-new Category Manager to oversee a key part of their FM portfolio of spend. This role will see you work closely with a newly appointed Group Procurement Director. As Category Manager, you will be a key player in the new Team and support the Group Procurement Director in delivering on our strategic objectives to the business.  You will be responsible for building and delighting your own stakeholder community, professionalising your category of spend and our dealings with the supply chain. This organisation has a 3-year strategy to take create a truly strategic business partnering procurement function and you could be part of it!

What the role involves:

• Being the primary point of contact within the Group Procurement Team for the FM spend category
• Being a trusted advisor to the business on all matters related to FM procurement
• Building the long term category strategy for FM procurement with their operational stakeholders
• Building and maintaining a portfolio of market/supplier contacts for FM strategic procurement exercises
• Embedding category management into the everyday working practices of Group Procurement 
• Continuously work with strategic supply partners to assess product and service innovation whilst putting our customers at the hearts of our specifications and service levels

The person we hope to find:

• Ability to forge relationships at all levels and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong end to end category management experience across FM Services
• Able to evidence the building and nurturing of supplier relationships and demonstrate the value that these relationships delivered
• Strong skills in project management and planning
• Demonstratable expertise in Supplier Relationship Management
• Experience in the negotiation of complex and/or high value contracts
