We work with more than 8,000 customers and manage over 788 million customer connections every day on behalf of some really well-known brands. It’s an incredibly dynamic place to work, with plenty of scope to develop your career with us. As a Buyer in our Loughton office, you’ll work closely with a wide range of suppliers ensuring that we receive a high-quality service, so that in turn we can deliver a great customer experience. That means getting high quality parts, on time, at a competitive rate. You’ll play close attention to detail, so that you’re confident that orders are accurately specified. You can expect to be in touch with colleagues and suppliers constantly and to be ready to quickly pick up and resolve any supply issues.

Your administration and organisation skills need to be first-class. The ability to build excellent relationships with colleagues and suppliers will be key, and you should be confident and approachable on the phone and in person. It’s a hands-on job that can often be pressurised, so a proactive and forward-thinking approach will help you to manage demands on your time. You should also have a good understanding of ERP systems and while a professional qualification such as CIPS would be a bonus, it isn’t an essential requirement.
