This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished Construction Buyer to join a successful regional contractor and support a broad range of construction solutions including New Build, Refurbishment and Special projects.
As the Materials Buyer you will be responsible for Pre-construction involvement in design meetings regarding product selection and obtaining prices for all supplies required to complete the works along with identifying and assessing potential suppliers and products.
Other key areas of responsibility will be analysing tender returns and making recommendations, ensuring supplies and suppliers comply with safety, health and environmental and other requirements and preparing and issuing contracts and raising orders for supplies.
As the Materials Buyer-Construction you will have several years experience of sourcing for New Build and refusbishment contracts within an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System environment and be adept at securing materials and sub contract services at the right price and right time.
Ideally CIPS Qualified, you will be a shrewd negotiator yet able to maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
