A national charity has recently integrated there Procurement function back in house after having it outsourced for the last 7 years and Novo-K procurement solutions are now recruiting a Senior Procurement Specialist to support this charity.

The main responsibilities of this role are to oversee and manage the operational delivery of the charities online shop. Supporting retail strategy development and overseeing management of stock control with the Supply Chain Manager, including product purchasing, product database management, and supporting the wider retail function of the charity.

The Senior Procurement specialist will have line management responsibility of the Operations & Supply Chain Admin/Exec, and other staff as required.


Retail Purchasing

  • Hold overall responsibility for stock budgets, availability, and stock management (assisted by the supply chain manager)
  • Identify key spend areas and go to market tender activity
  • Overall responsibility for supplier management including terms and contracts
  • Responsibility for sourcing new products (and attending trade shows)
  • Manage and source the charity's own label offer
  • Indirect spend management



Management of the Charity's 3PL

  • Lead monthly KPI meetings/weekly operational meetings
  • Review monthly performance and monthly invoice sign-off
  • Ensure all paperwork is maintained in order for full accounting process to take place (Purchase Orders, Proof of Delivery, Invoices, etc)


Strategy

  • Provide the roadmap in terms of category development including private label and new categories
  • Support the Director responsible for retail in the structuring of company budgets around the retail activity
  • Support the Finance Department where required with cash flow and overall category reforecasts


Experience

  • Managerial experience of a small team
  • 3PL or warehouse and stock reporting
  • PO systems experience, ideally Linnworks
  • Experience within a greenfield or brownfield procurement function.
