#TeamAldi are looking for a National Supply Chain Project Manager, specialising in Automation and project delivery. This team is a big deal. They’re responsible for moving all Aldi products from our suppliers (all around the world) into our Regional Distribution Centres. Without them our customers wouldn’t be able to pick up their favourite ingredients or get excited over our Specialbuys, which is why it’s so much more than just a career to the team.

You’ll be given real responsibility, creating a long-term strategy for the automated warehouse whilst experiencing plenty of variety, ensuring successful integration between Warehouse Systems, leading a strong internal team and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, develop and train your Logistics Assistants and Logistics Administrators.
  • Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with external partners.
  • Manage Aldi’s partners within contract guidelines, ensuring performance is monitored and recorded to aid in continuous improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to define project direction, budget, and deliverables and to establish consensus and clear alignment at all levels.
  • Identify, investigate and propose cost saving opportunities within the supply chain and develop operational plans for implementation, while ensuring due diligence and stakeholder engagement.
  • Work closely with other Logistics Managers to ensure consistency, alignment, and efficiency where departments overlap and to continuously improve service and cost.
  • Ensure adherence to all legal requirements of your area of responsibility.

Essential Skills Required:

  • Educated to 2:1 degree level or above.
  • Logistics qualifications.
  • Industry experience in a management role.
  • Previous project and people management experience.
  • Experience of stakeholder management at all levels.
  • Previous experience managing third party logistics.
  • Automated warehouse operations.
  • Integration of warehouse management systems with warehouse control systems.
  • Automation of warehouse operations skills.
  • Project management expertise.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Cost saving and budget management expertise.

Desirable Skills Required:

  • Supply chain, warehouse Automation (Manhattan) and IT experience.
  • Highly experienced in team management within Automation, particularly with Manhattan WMS experience.
