Procurement Manager - Soft FM

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager with particular experience of managing the soft FM category. Experience in managing catering contracts is preferred, as well as Cleaning, Waste Management, Repair and Maintenance amongst others.

Responsibilities:

• To identify, develop and implement purchasing strategies in line with customer requirements and departmental objectives
• To develop a robust category management approach
• To identify and report on Value for Money activities
• Act as local expert and 1st point of contact within the FM category for the organisation and Suppliers
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time commensurate with the grade of the job

Criteria:

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Actively studying for or full member of CIPS
• Proven purchasing experience
• Proven management skills
• Proven record of developing strategic plans for the sub-category and evidence of successfully executing those plans
• Able to demonstrate driving value for money/savings in the category
• Able to demonstrate continuous improvement initiatives with category specific suppliers and internal customers
• Proven record of ability to negotiate complex arrangements with suppliers
• Proven record of ability to construct and negotiate on contractual terms
• Good analytical skills
• Ability to influence at all levels within the organisation
