IT Category Manager - £60k

My client, a leader in Financial Services, is currently recruiting a fantastic opportunity for a driven Category Manager, with experience in IT Security, to join their organisation and lead on Category Strategy and Procurement delivery

This role is paying up to £60k, plus benefits. The main base for this role is the South East, with significant flexibility around remote working.

You will:

• Lead negotiations with major suppliers to agree positive, long-term contracts.
• Manage bids, achieving value for money across systems, software, equipment and components
• Work closely with Senior-level stakeholders to develop and roll out strategic initiatives for the IT Category, to drive improvement and change
• Ensure strong working relationships are maintained with senior stakeholders and major suppliers
• Maintain a strong awareness of the market and suppliers
• Ensure Procurement projects are delivered to time and cost milestones
• Lead risk management and ensure compliance against relevant legislation and requirements

Requirements:

• Full lifecycle experience, carrying out bidding, working closely with supply chain to develop new solutions and carrying out vendor management
• Significant, demonstrable experience in a strategic Procurement role, focusing on IT Security
• Confident engaging with senior level stakeholders and major suppliers
• Strong understanding and experience of business development
