Who are we looking for?

We have a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Officer to join our Procurement team of 30 for the delivery of supply chain activities ensuring compliance to both UKAEA and BEIS procedures and processes. You will be supporting a range of projects and programmes to better understand their supply chain capacity, challenges and opportunities.

Job Description

What will you be responsible for?

• Providing support to the Procurement team in the delivery of supply chain activities, enhancing and building on the solid foundations within our Supply Chain
• Working as part of the Procurement and Supply Chain Team, conducting analysis, creating and refining reports focusing on operational delivery
• Co-ordinating and managing supply chain activities working closely with internal colleagues and external BEIS and industry stakeholders
• Monitoring Supply Chain capacity, capability and performance along with analysing and troubleshooting all of these elements
• Developing a risk management supply chain portfolio to ensure robust contingencies are in place for critical items, developing risk mitigation plans
• Reviewing ERP systems and connected applications to improve and enhance execution of supply chain processes

Qualifications

Essential skills, experience and competences required:

- Knowledge of Public Sector Procurement Principles

- Experience of Supply Chain Development

- MCIPS qualified or working towards this - or equivalent

- Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving and questioning attitude

- Good communication and interpersonal skills both written and oral and with people at all levels

- Good attention to detail and high level analytical skills (analysing data and translating data into operational summaries)

- Strong time management skills including the ability to prioritise the workload
