Market Leading FMCG Organization

Location - Madrid, Spain; Applicants will be required to relocate to Madrid.

Salary - €75k-€85k + Comprehensive benefits (Car, Bonus, Meal Voucher, Insurance)

NOTE: This is a permanent opportunity based in Madrid and will require candidates to be based in Madrid. Remote working is not being considered for this position. Candidates must be willing and able to relocate to Madrid if not already based locally.

This global FMCG organization is currently in the process of significantly restructuring its product portfolio and moving to a more e-commerce business platform. This transformation will have a tremendous impact on the logistics of the organization and will require a highly qualified Global Procurement Category Manager to support the development of new Distribution networks for this new business model.

This role will require someone with a high level of expertise final-mile logistics and in sourcing suppliers specialised in global distribution of goods, this will include 3PL and 4PL suppliers capable of managing a highly complex and fast-paced B2C logistics network delivering products from warehouses directly to consumers.

As the Global Procurement Category Manager for Distribution you will be expected to have the following skills:-

  • Proven track record of building logistics category management strategies from scratch through internal stakeholder management and data analytics
  • Excellent commercial and negotiation skills when it comes to managing logistics carriers, 3PL and 4PL providers particularly in the area of final-mile logistics
  • A detailed market knowledge of the final-mile and distribution sector and it's key players
  • Ability to communicate effectively within a global matrix structured organization with a highly multi-cultural stakeholder base
  • Ability to generate consistent cost and cash flow improvements by implementing more effective sourcing and supplier management initiatives
