Security & Facilities Management Senior Commercial Advisor
Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office
Total Package: £43,300 (+£4,000 if MCIPS qualified)
Location: London – Flexible working arrangements available
1 Year Fixed Term
The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s Global Estates function plays a vital role as the Department promotes and safeguards British interests. Your challenge will be to not only manage the commercial arrangements of our 280+ global sites – but expand their scope, so we can increase our impact around the world.
Day-to-day, you will work closely with the Head of Security and Facilities Management Category to develop and deliver our commercial category plan. A key part of this will be a clear focus on adding value and increasing efficiencies within the supply chain. We will look for you to guide regional teams on specific projects, personally oversee high value tenders and nurture our wider capability to lead complex procurement processes.
An MCIPS qualification or equivalent industry experience and category management expertise is required for this role. Even more important is your ability to shape and deliver global, customer-centric procurements.
You should also have a proven reputation for inspiring innovation and creativity in a dynamic environment, as well as demonstrating exceptional judgement, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills. We will rely on you to champion the careful balance of complex requirements against value for money.
Company
Join the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and you’ll deliver for the UK internationally. That could mean helping us promote Britain and our values, building strategic partnerships, protecting our interests, or supporting Britons abroad. It’s a diverse challenge that will put you at the centre of world events, working alongside around 17,300 people in our global network of offices, bringing a completely unique perspective of personal and professional pride.
