Buyer
The main function of the job is to carry out raw material sourcing and purchasing activities as required and compile, issue and process RFQ’s
Job Specification
• Negotiate price and availability of raw materials and other items
• Carry out Materials benchmarking as directed/required
• Analysis of supply V demand utilising MRP & other reports to determine requirements- with particular responsibility for non- electronic items and non-production items
• Place P.O’s for raw materials & Non-production items as necessary, ensuring quality, cost & delivery requirements are met
• Proactively expedite material requirements from external sources to ensure timely delivery for production and customer needs

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Minimum 2-3 years purchasing experience with a good head for data analysis
- Preferably in a manufacturing/electronics environment, but not essential
- Aptitude for working under pressure, ideally someone who thrives under pressure and enjoys the “buzz”
The salary we are looking to pay for this role is £28k to £30k per annum depending on experience. Please do not advertise the salary for this role.
