Procurement Manager, Indirect, 12-month FTC | London | Major Insurance Brand

£50-55,000 + bonus, great pension, 25 days holiday (x buy 5 days), private healthcare and flexible working

As part of this well-known Insurance businesses transformation they are looking to bring in a new Procurement Manager to oversee a wide range of indirect services spend. This role will give this person the autonomy to work across a wide portfolio of categories including HR, Marketing, Professional Services and FM mainly on a global level and report straight into the Head of Procurement and be part of a small team of 4.

This role offers flexible working and the chance to take ownership of some key projects for them as they gear up for what will be a busy 2021 for the company!

What the role involves

Managing a multi million-pound portfolio of spend across all Indirect Services

Contract values will range from £100k up to multi-million-pound contracts with key suppliers for the business

Shaping and executing a range of sourcing strategies across Indirect spend and collaborating with key internal stakeholders in the business

Have the chance to interact with the wider Procurement exec team in making critical commercial decisions as part of the short, medium- and long-term strategy of the business and be empowered to make these decisions.

Report to the Head of Procurement and be part of a team of 4 looking to drive change and grow the Procurements spend remit across the business.

The person we hope to find

Indirect category management experience is essential for this role

Ideally managed multiple contracts on a regional or international level

Proven experience of managing HR, Marketing or Facilities stakeholders and being able to make key strategic decisions on the supplier base you are engaged with

Degree educated or equivalent would be preferable but not essential

Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team

If you are a Procurement Manager who enjoys the variety of working across indirect categories and is available on a short notice and would consider a 12 month initial contract in a progressive culture then this could well be the role for you! Please note despite it being a 12 month contract you are still entitled to all the permanent benefits including a great pension and private healthcare.
