West Sussex

The Client

Independent Global Logistics Service Provider offering a complete range of services including Air, Road and Sea freight
International Courier Express, Storage/Fulfilment, consultancy, UK overnight and UK & Europe Sameday

The Role

  • To work with operations, working in Customer Services, to give customers the best service possible and manage customer requirements in an effective and efficient manner to achieve performance and service level targets, meeting customer expectations and resolution of queries and complaints. The main focus for this role is building and retaining strong relationships with existing and new customers

Responsibilities

  • First point of contact for all incoming queries from clients and customers
  • Ensure the highest level of quality of service is provided to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Complete operational tasks, as necessary
  • General administration

The candidate
 

  • Good communications skills
  • Decisive, able to work under pressure
  • Enthusiastic, with a friendly personality and good telephone manner
  • Flexible, with a positive attitude in a sometimes challenging work environment, providing a top quality service to clients
  • Liaise with Transport, Despatch & Customers.
  • Prompt and effective communications with all stakeholders
  • PC Literate – including working ability with Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Previous experience of working with SAP an advantage
  • Numeracy & literacy skills
  • Experience in the logistics industry is preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience in logistics and customer service is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided
  • Self motivated
  • Initiative and flexibility
  • Customer focused and service orientated
  • Strong and effective communicator

Hours of work

Monday - Friday

9am – 6pm
