Global Indirect Category Manager- Food and Beverages - New Jersey - $160,000

This leading global firm are seeking a high-achieving procurement professional to join their team and drive the role of Global Category Manager for Indirects. This could be a fantastic career move for a senior procurement professional who are keen on being part of a rapidly expanding, forward thinking firm who operate all over the United States and sells into over 70 cities worldwide.

In this position, you will be responsible for managing of an annual spend of ~$120M, defining and implementing all strategies. The role reports directly to the Global Procurement Director. The position is based in New Jersey and offers flexible working amongst many other benefits.

This role will be responsible for:

• Developing and managing key supplier relationships to ensure high quality and reliable product supply, with cost effectiveness to exceed all key performance metrics
• Establishing, managing, and leading teams across Product Development, Manufacturing, IT, Marketing, Sales and more
• Championing productivity improvement by leading and driving effective engagement with global internal and external stakeholders and suppliers to optimize business functions
• Developing an expertise in the business needs and processes to create and execute sourcing strategies across all relevant categories

Required Background

• Impressive Procurement, Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation track record, with a CV clearly demonstrating personal achievements and experience in negotiation, analytical interpretation, team leading and management
• In depth experience of Procurement, including at least 11 years' experience in Procurement roles, and at least 3 years' experience Procurement management
• Educated to degree level is essential, preferably in a related discipline
