Location: Remote Working - Midlands, Wales, North West

Salary: £25,000-£35,000 plus benefits

Our client is undergoing an exciting time of sustained growth, therefore are currently seeking an IT Category Specialist to join their team.

Reporting to the Category Manager, the role is responsible for supporting delivery of procurement services and acting as the procurement support for various procurement projects and activities. This is a key position that will work with both the public and private sectors and will require someone who has experience of public procurement regulations (PCR2015), plus the ability to ensure compliance when delivering value. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Category Manager to develop and deliver the category strategy for ICT and Technology Categories
  • Assisting the Category Manager to develop and deliver a category strategy for your assigned categories
  • Managing key supplier and contract management relationships
  • Proactively building, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the business and customers
  • Undertaking market intelligence and analysis activities in regard to supplier selection
  • Supporting bid activities from writing tenders to evaluation, selection and providing cost breakdown analysis and quotation analysis
  • Undertaking and supporting sourcing and tendering activities
  • Supporting the creation and delivery of appropriate contracts
  • Supporting the selection and on-boarding process for new suppliers, plus conducting all relevant checks

Skills and Experience:

  • Be passionate about making a difference through procurement
  • ICT Category Knowledge/experience is highly desirable
  • Understanding of PCR2015 and OJEU Tendering
  • Ability to work as a team
  • Ideally CIPs qualified or working towards
