Procurement Lead - Disruptive Technologies - Aerospace - £60k - £65k + Package

Rapidly growing global technology giant seeks an experienced procurement expert to form part of a brand-new supply chain function as part of their rapid growth and transformation. This role will work to develop supply chains for future technologies, working collaboratively with category leaders to develop innovative supply chain strategy.

As a Supply Chain Lead - New Technology Development you will:

  • Determine and establish supply chain concept solutions new manufacturing technologies, working collaboratively with stakeholder groups across engineering, NPI and Supply Chain
  • Drive supply chain activities for NPI process from idea generation through prototype and testing phase to mass production and manufacturing
  • Source global engineering components and sub-assembly for highly complex electronic equipment/assemblies
  • Develop contract and negotiation strategy in support of commercial bids
  • Form part of the Supply Chain & Procurement team contributing towards the governance, structure & ethics of this department
  • Successfully engage with an executive stakeholder community including Directors & VPs across Engineering, Supply Chain & Manufacturing

Required skills for this role:

  • Strong procurement and supply chain experience within a blue-chip environment
  • Experience within the supply chain development of new technologies within aerospace/defence
  • Experience in developing Make Vs Buy strategy
  • Ability to read/interpret an engineering drawings/requirement
  • Experience in demand/production planning
  • Experience in supporting commercial bids
  • Experience in working with Intellectual property related products
  • Excellent communication skills with the gravitas and confidence to lead on large negotiations and scope strategies
  • Degree and MCIPS preferred
