Global IT Procurement Manager - FTSE100 - £70-80k + Fast-track Promotional Opportunities - Multiple Locations (Southampton, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield)

As one of the most recognised financial services brands in the world, this aggressively expanding blue-chip is looking to add an ambitious IT Category Manager to drive the IT contingent labour subcategory towards best-in-class. Working out of one of four, state of the art offices, the successful Procurement professional will be liaising across the entire IT Procurement team in a role that will be tasked with shaping global IT services strategies. As a member of the leadership team, this position works directly alongside the Head of IT Procurement in a commercially intelligent working environment with a clear path for progression internally.

Procurement Category Manager Responsibilities:

  • Managing large spends across IT Procurement and creating long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers specific to IT contingent labour
  • Develop new strategies for business development and reporting to senior members as to how the company can develop the Procurement function further
  • Negotiate, and create relationships, with internal & external suppliers whilst developing a strong network for each market
  • Conduct deep research into IT category and identify how you can generate savings across them
  • Manage stakeholder relationships - ensuring a positive working relationship is in place

Key Skills & Experience Sought:

  • Strong IT Procurement experience, any additional experience around contingent labour will be beneficial
  • Proven track record of managing a large spend and delivering savings
  • History of negotiating with the ability to influence decisions in your favour
  • Good communication skills with experience managing supplier and stakeholder relationships
  • Degree level 2.1 or equivalent (desirable)
  • CIPS (desirable)
