Global IT Services Procurement Manager - FTSE100 Financial services firm - £70-80k+ Southampton, Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield + Flexi working

Global financial services major seeks an ambitious Procurement Category Manager to enter their centralised sourcing team and drive the IT services category towards best in class. Being deeply embedded in the firm's global presence, the individual will be tasked with engaging at executive level to create a unified category area with clear strategic objectives for the consistent development of global IT services, including contingent labour.

Global Category Manager, HR role overview:-

  • Collaborating with local and regional stakeholders to create a unified global IT services Procurement function focusing on contingent labour
  • Partnering with the IT Leadership Team to continue Procurement's evolution and gain increasing control over budgets and key suppliers
  • Building strategic supplier partnerships
  • Inspiring the wider Procurement team around you, providing insightful leadership and effectively managing resources on category & sourcing projects

Required skills / background:-

  • Impressive Procurement & Category Management career, with evidence of quick progression & high commercial achievement (cost savings, risk mitigation, SRM)
  • Extensive IT Category Expertise with a focus on contingent labour
  • Exceptional engagement skills, with a proven track record in influencing Executives to further Procurement's image
  • Strong demand management, financial analysis, research and presentation skills
  • Degree & MCIPS preferred though not essential
