As part of an exciting transformation this well-known global FTSE 250 Business are looking for a Procurement Manager to look after FM Category area with a focus on managing all Soft FM supplier spend. This organisation has an office in Surrey and in the Midlands, although you are not needed to be based full time in either site, so location is flexible!

There are great plans for this role and company as the company continues to grow and plans to invest in Procurement as the role expands. This role reports straight to the Head of Category for FM who you will work closely with in delivering key strategic projects for the business.

What the role involves

  • Lead the Procurement FM category strategy with a focus on Soft FM and its subcategories such as catering and cleaning contracts
  • Deliver the procurement strategy including best practices, tools, guidance, and support aligned to business and operational requirements.
  • Manage a new supplier on boarding and contract performance management programme to include SLA and KPI implementation.
  • Ensure procurement support is provided to other improvement projects across the business.
  • Lead the improvement in the efficiency and effectiveness of just in time deliveries throughout the supply chain.

The person we hope to find

  • Experience in Soft FM category management  
  • Excellent written, verbal and numerical communication skills
  • Strong negotiator with suppliers
  • Experience in delivering measurable cost savings through successful supply chain management
  • Experience or interest in asset management/ facilities management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter, flexible and willing to adapt to change
